Created by students for students, JUMR serves as the first platform to showcase high-quality undergraduate national research in medicine and the health sciences.
Many students pursue independent research projects driven by intellectual curiosity, but have no platform to share their work to peers across college campuses. Therefore, the Journal of Undergraduate Medical Research (JUMR) is an initiative dedicated to promoting scholarly research and collaboration among undergraduate students nationwide pursuing careers in medicine and healthcare. By providing a structured platform for students to showcase their work, JUMR fosters an early introduction to academic publishing and critical scientific inquiry. The initiative not only encourages students to actively contribute to medical literature but also strengthens professional networks and enhances research proficiency. JUMR will be a journal by students, for students: where undergraduate students can submit their work, and medical students or other qualified individuals act as reviewers.
